Ganesh Academy of Indian Arts  sponsored  private and group classes in Tabla and Sitar with Pt. Charanjit Chatur Lal from
May 20-27, 2005. We had students from 7 years old to 60 years old. We enjoyed the beginners as well as the professional musicians. Drums were provided for those who were new to Tabla. Melissa Sproul-Singh was available for students to continue lessons until Guruji Lal's next visit. The relaxed family-style atmosphere was very welcoming. Some students ate with the cooking classes. Overall we had a wonderful time sharing cultures.

Cooking of Northern India

Ganesh Academy is sponsored six  COOKING LESSONS (North Indian Cooking) by Meeta Lal. There were students as young as 13 and as young at heart as 70. We all watched, learned and participated in the cooking, but best of all we  ate together what we had prepared. Meeta  demonstrated how to prepare several dishes at each session.
