The Music Department and the Interdisciplinary Studies Department of GCSU proudLy presented Pandit Charanjit Chatur Lal and his son, Pranshu Lal, in an Introductory performance of Tabla which is one of the basic drums used in Classical Indian music. The Lal family has a long tradition of performance around the world. the evening was a rare treat for Milledgeville. The evening was opened by a presentation of Indian Classical Dance by Parvati Melissa Sproul-Singh, who studied Odissi Classical Dance in India for many years. this evening of authentic Indian music and dance was presented on Georgia College & State University's cable TV station. We had an attendance of about 150 people. |

Ganesh Academy is sponsored six COOKING LESSONS (North Indian Cooking) by Meeta Lal.
There were students as young as 13 and as young at heart as 70. We all
watched, learned and participated in the cooking, but best of all we
ate together what we had prepared. Meeta
demonstrated how to prepare several dishes at each session.
