Once again Ganesh Academy is happy to host  Pandit Charanjit Chatur Lal and his son, Pranshu Lal, in an Introductory performance of Tabla  drums used in Classical Indian music. The Lal family has a long tradition of performance around the world and his visit  be a rare treat. We will be hosting  events in Macon and Milledgeville. The main event is a lecture, demonstration, concert at the Historic  Douglass Theatre at 355 MLK,Jr. Bvd in Macon. There will be time to speak with the artists. Indian crafts will be available for purchase.

Join us for a Reception to welcome Pt. Charanjit Chatur Lal and his family to Georgia. Don't miss a chance to meet The Lals. Pandit Lal's son Pranshu will give a brief Tabla solo. There will be a display of handicrafts from India for sale.

Ganesh Academy of Indian Arts is sponsoring private and group classes in Tabla and Sitar with Pt. Charanjit Chatur Lal during June 17-27, 2006. You do not have to have a set of drums to take lessons. Drums provided. Melissa Sproul-Singh will be available to continue lessons until Guruji Lal's next visit in the Fall 2006. Call now for more  information and to make an appointment. You may schedule a class at your convenience either day or evening. One lesson a day is suggested while Guruji Lal is  in this area. Drums will also be available for purchase.

Ganesh Academy is also sponsoring COOKING LESSONS (North Indian Cooking) by Meeta Lal during the same week. Many enjoyed these classes on the Lal's visit last year.
